Software for Architects
By Elizabeth Morgan

Different kinds of software used to visualize architectural designs in different dimensions is known as architectural software. Implementation through drawings was the oldest way for people to produce architectural designs. The problem with these drawings was that a viewer or consumer usually could not understand them. Whenever any change in design or space management, necessary modifications have to be included in the plans, and when using the old-fashioned drawings, making changes was an extremely time consuming process.

Information technology was able to provide solution for this. A variety of software was developed with regular templates, which are user-friendly tools. Computer-aided design, also known as CAD, was used to design various products. Older versions of CAD were offered only two dimensional views, but later, 3-dimensional (3D) compatibility was developed for CAD programs. Using this architectural software, everything inside a house or building could be easily customized.

DataCADLT is one of the latest CAD is 2D/3D compatible software intended for students and professionals which covers implementation designs to architectural presentations. Smartdraw software is an alternative to CAD software that gives more than 100 tem plates.
