When you are designing a kitchen for your remodeling or new kitchen model, one of the most important things to consider is a concept called "Universal Design." You may be planning and thinking only with your specific requirements, but this new kitchen has a future! Let's plan accordingly!

The "Universal Design" concept is an idea that most everyone, regardless of age, size and ability, will be able to be comfortable in your kitchen. The idea attempts to incorporate a wide range of persons into one kitchen design, eliminating hassles as much as possible. When designing a kitchen, this can be a wonderful and efficient idea to consider - and reconsider.

Review the room's size. This will limit or encourage certain appliances, furniture accessories, etc. Appliance placement, kitchen traffic and your necessary workspace are all practical concerns. And of course! Your specific kitchen needs (dishwasher, storage, etc) must fit within your budget when designing a kitchen.

Ask yourself these 10 questions when designing a kitchen that will be perfect for you:
What do you want as far as kitchen standards to your current lifestyle? The latest gadgets or items you know you will consistently use?

2. What appliances do you want in your kitchen? Where do you want them to be most convenient?
What do the other household members want in your kitchen?

3. What do you like / dislike about your current kitchen?

-do you have large enough countertop space?

-do you need a larger sink?

-do you have enough storage room?

-do you have enough space to pay bills / write letters, etc?

-do you need a separate recycling area?

-is your kitchen easy to clean?

-is there enough seating in your kitchen to accommodate both household members and entertaining guests?

4. What do you like / dislike about the current layout of your kitchen?

5. Which general design style do you absolutely love?

6. Can you have your new kitchen match the architectural feeling of the whole house?

7. What products / styles have you seen elsewhere that you liked?

8. What do you love about your friends' kitchens?

9. What colors to you want to work with?

These questions should help you get a better overview of practical design considerations you will use when designing a kitchen.
