3 Flameless Ways to Scent Your Home
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Maya_Dixon]Maya Dixon

If you're a fan of home fragrance, there are many options available like candles, incense, and oil burners. Using an open heat source is not always an option, particularly if you have children. Luckily, there are some great alternatives available to us.

1. Concentrated Room Sprays - These little spray bottles pack quite a punch. They come in a variety of scents, anything from pumpkin pie to crisp linen. All you need is one short spray, and it will scent the entire room, depending on room size of course. They can be a little pricey, so they may not be the best everyday option.

2. Portable Fan Diffusers - These are small and battery powered, and are used in conjunction with a fragrance oil. There is a little cotton pad on the inside that you saturate with the oil, then the fan inside disperses the scent. These tend to have less throw, but they're fine for an enclosed area, or if you don't want something really overpowering. One advantage to using this type of diffuser is that you can change the scent of the oil by switching the pad. This gives you greater flexibility, as fragrance oils come in hundreds of different scents.

3. Plug In Diffusers - You plug these into an electrical outlet, where it then warms up and releases the scent. These are mostly available prepackaged, containing a specific scent. Which means that you'll be stuck with it unless you swap it out for a different one. That's fine if you love one particular scent, but if you tire of the same smell quickly (as I do), this can become annoying, not to mention inconvenient. I have seen some that you can refill with your own oil, but they're really hard to find.

These are a few of the ways you can scent your home without the use of an open flame. You're sure to find one suitable to your needs.
