How to Get the Best Out of Small Dwellings
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Connor_R_Sullivan]Connor R Sullivan

Remember the days of childhood when people would play with dolls houses and the like? These toys may not be in favor now what with computers, electronic gadgets and computer games etc but there is still a world of avid enthusiasts who like to build small houses with tiny house kits. Even rustic houses are available complete with logs and cabin windows.

The great advantage about building these rustic style homes is that they don't always have to be built to perfection. They are surely meant to look knocked together so any imperfections merely add to the authenticity and rustic look of the piece.

Once built many will add all kinds of accouterments to add flavor and reality to the houses. Small dolls, miniature furniture for dolly to sit on, sleep in etc, and even baby dolls for the doll mother to take care of. A whole world can be built around this centerpiece and adults and children alike become enthralled with adding new things.

Some even go as far as to adding farmland, a lake or mountains as a backdrop to the scene and add small artificial trees, grass and other items to make it look like a real world albeit in miniature. Indeed, some are so enthusiastic about this set up that the whole scenario can be passed down through families with following enthusiasts adding more and more to the set up.

One miniature dwelling buff even went as far as setting aside a whole room for the pursuit of building a kind of Utopia where they could get lost in fantasy. An old fashioned train set was added with stops set up around the room and eventually the room was filled with all kinds of paraphernalia related to this miniature mountain getaway. Some even took the idea one step further and added miniature versions of real dwellings. These models are so well built that, depending on the camera angle, they look real in photographs!

In fact, many film producers will use this trick to fool the eye. Everything will be built in ? or 1 inch to the foot scale and special cameras are used to make the movie appear to be full size to the audience. This is the enthusiasm and care taken in model building.

These dwellings come in packs for adult size dwellings too! If it is a weekend getaway retreat that is wanted, the packs come with everything needed to build a small dwelling complete with all materials and roof shingles etc. Many states have a restriction on sizes where permits are necessary, but to circumvent the need to go through this red tape, all that is needed is to get a pack with smaller dimensions. The normal size to avoid restrictions is either under 200 feet or under 120 feet. Check out the state or county regulations before buying the packs.

These sizes, although they may sound small, are perfect for fishing trips, weekend getaways or family dwellings for summer days out when people spend time outdoors anyway.

Connor Sullivan bought a few [http://www.pennypincherbarns.com/]tiny house kits for his family to work on over the summer. He researched [http://www.pennypincherbarns.com/]cabin windows and found many that he liked for his second home.
