Many people spend a large amount of time in the kitchen preparing meals. And therefore, creating
a kitchen that gives you that comfort will be a practical reason for you to consider remodeling your
kitchen. A well-design kitchen should blend in with the theme of your home. You can consider
various type design that suit your home theme and also reflecting your lifestyle. Here are

One important factor to consider before you start is to know your budget. Over spending in this
area will result in you having less to spend on other part of your home. By looking at your budget
you have two options which you can do. One is to remodel and the other to refaced your kitchen.
Both option have their pro and cons.

In remodeling your kitchen, you can determine the layout of your kitchen, should it be a L shape,
with or without a kitchen island. These layout will depend on the size of your kitchen. Not to
forget that you still need to have the basic appliance like refrigerator, stove, kitchen sink with
dishwasher and oven. If you have kids, you might want to consider having extra safety features in
you kitchen as compare to a kitchen for singles or a couple. Besides the basic appliances, you need
to consider

* the materials use for the kitchen cabinets -Northern Maple, Red Oak, Poplar, Birch, plantation-grown exotic woods

* faucets - wall mounted or sink mounted

* sink - single bowl sink, double bowl sink or triple bowl sink

* the color of the kitchen that suits your overall design

* kitchen floor tiles - ceramic, porcelain or glass

* the kitchen color

The advantage of getting a the kitchen remodel is that you can have the kitchen designed to your
lifestyle and needs. However, the main drawback is that you need to spend a fortune.

If remodeling your kitchen is out of your budget, your can choose to refaced your kitchen. In refacing,
you are limited to changing of the lighting of the kitchen, kitchen accessories, cabinet outer surface
and the kitchen door. Refacing is definitely a faster and cheaper option. However only the the layout
of your kitchen remains the same.
