How to Make an Old House Look Great

Making an old house look great is not as difficult as you might think. Here is some cheap tips you can follow to give a new life to your old home.
We moved into an old house in a part of town where all the houses look exactly the same. They all look tired and nobody really wanted to stay there.
This is what we did to make our house stand out from the rest:
We went to a local paint shop and asked them if they have any paint that were very cheap. We bought a couple of litres from them in different colors.
We went to the local schools and told them we want to launch a creativity project where we need pupils to paint our house in any way they want to and we will supply the paint.
We then went back to the paint shops and asked them if they would come and do a course for these pupils on painting techniques and they agreed.
The pupils from the school started painting the house after they did the course. They were having so much fun that the school decided that they want to do this on an ongoing basis. Obviously not to many homeowners want this to happen to their house, so we agreed that they can paint our house every season on the condition that the school supply the paint.
Now this is were it gets really interesting. The local paint shops started sponsoring the pupils with paint but expensive paint because their names are attached to each project.
Our house currently is one of the nicest looking houses in town and it doesn't cost us a cent.
