Vertical Vinyl Siding For a More Unique Look to Your Home
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Simon_Harris]Simon Harris

Horizontal vinyl siding is the type most often chosen by home owners. However, if you want your home to look a bit more unique you might want to give vertical vinyl siding a try. Installation and care works pretty much the same way as with horizontal siding, but your house will stand out a little more. Since there are many different options for companies that sell this type of siding you just need to look around to see which company has the right style and color of siding for you.

Alside sells a 7" vertical vinyl siding called Board & Batten Premium Vinyl Siding, which has a wood grain texture and has a 7" exposure. Low gloss finish colors you can choose from include Antique Parchment, Cape Cod Gray, Coastal Sage, Colonial Ivory, Glacier White, Maple, Mystic Blue, Monterey Sand, Natural Linen, Platinum Gray, and Tuscan Clay. Panels are 10 feet long.

Vertical vinyl siding from Bordner Windows and Siding Company has a double 5" profile and a super thick construction. This makes them more rigid so it isn't hard to install them and keep them straight. To help make the finished product look contemporary and almost seamless they have a deep U-Groove as well.

CertainTeed is well known for their vinyl siding. They have a number of different vertical siding options available for you to choose from. Their Universal Triple 4" vertical siding comes in an amazing 34 colors, and has a matte finish with a 12" exposure. If you would like a smooth finish, their Beaded Triple 2" is a good option, with eight different colors available and a 6" exposure. They also have a Board and Batten option with a rough cedar finish and an 8" exposure available in twelve colors. Those who like a 10" exposure can choose from the Ironmax Double 5" with twenty different colors and a wood grain finish or the Triple 3 1/3" with twelve different colors in a matte finish.

LP vertical vinyl siding comes in three different styles and a number of different colors. You can get a rough hewn cedar look with the Board and Batten style, or you can get a natural wood finish with one of the two tongue and groove styles available, the LP® 10" Vertical Vinyl or the LP® I-SpanTM. Installation is made easy through the use of a system based on self aligning locking.
