Home Organizers Save Money and Time
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Chris_Robertson]Chris Robertson

I am a very disorganized person. Well, that's not entirely true. My thinking is organized. I can write and talk in an organized fashion. But my physical surroundings are always a mess. While I don't think I'll ever have as neat a place as some of my friends, I've recently found some home organizer products that really help.

I've tried to organize myself. I even figured out that I would spend less time looking for things and replacing things if I took a few minutes to put them back where they belong. And the few times I've done that-put things back where I found them-it's been a delightful experience when I can find them the next time. But I just can't keep it up.

Some of my favorite organizer products are hooks that go over the door. They hook over the top of a door and then have one or several hooks to hang things from. These are great for me because while I'm not good about putting clothes on hangers, I seem to be able to hang them on hooks. There's even an over-the-door cap rack and an over-the-door purse rack. Another good feature is that they don't need any installation-no screws or anchors-you just hang them over the door.

I like shelves better than drawers. One of the online shops that sells home organizers offers different types of storage shelves. They have shelves for the kitchen, closet, or bathroom. I now have two terrific shelves in my kitchen. I have one that hooks onto a shelf, creating another lower shelf. It's perfect for organizing the tops from food storage containers. The other shelf has legs and sits on a shelf that holds dishes, making an extra shelf-like a double-decker shelf.

Even though I don't use them to their best advantage, I love storage containers. I think they are so cool, the way things fit so nicely in them. I've got my eye on kitchen storage containers that are just the right size for food products that come in cardboard boxes, like cereal or baking soda. Other storage containers hold bags of flour or sugar. I think they'd be so great for keeping bugs out and for preventing spills.

I haven't done the math, but I think a small investment in home organizers will pay for itself pretty quickly. The other day I stepped on and broke a small piece of equipment because it was on the floor, not in a container. I had to throw out some cereal because it got stale in the box. I bought new socks because I couldn't find matching pairs. These all add up, and many of these neat organizers only cost a few dollars.

I've seen stores that sell home organizers, but I prefer to buy online. It's easy to see all the products and take your time making decisions. Even if you have to pay shipping costs, it's cheaper than driving to the mall or taking public transportation downtown. Plus, shopping online takes less time, and saving time is all part of being organized.
