Do You Know Enough About Sunrooms?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jitesh_Arora]Jitesh Arora

A sunroom is a structure usually constructed onto the side of a house either new or old. It allows you to enjoy the premises or the surrounding landscape, while being protected from adverse weather such as rain or wind. Sun rooms are highly popular in countries like United States, Europe, Canada, Australia etc. They are described as Conservatories in U.K, though they may not contain plants. More than being beautiful additions to your home, they add value to your property.

Sunroom can be made of brick, breeze block, wood, glass or PVC. The main support for the PVC is provided by the brick or wood base. The glass panels are large and often clear than frosted. Glass panels can be used for roofing, but it is usually done with a plastic material which allows sunlight inside. Aluminum framing with tempered glass is used as the primary structure in newer rooms. The roof system is constructed of aluminum insulated panels. A shingled roofing material is used for constructing the outside of the roof.

In some countries sun rooms used to be built separately from the home. But now the trend is to blend the sunroom into the architecture of the room. With the latest heat resistant technology and technologies of glass, sunrooms are widely used in colder states also.

Sun rooms are more cost effective and easier to install. They cause less mess than construction of ordinary rooms and take less time to complete. The prices vary according to location, builder, size, materials and design. Elaborate designs cost more than 'contemporary' ones, which are the most affordable options. Sun rooms are more than room additions and they serve various purposes. They provide a sanctuary for you and your family. They also enhance your lifestyle.

You have to do quite a bit of research and planning before constructing your sun room. Various aspects have to be considered well in advance to avoid unnecessary expenditure. With the help of a reliable contractor make sure that all the guidelines are set and the necessary materials are in place before actually starting the construction.

Straight, Curved, Cathedral and Conservatory are the four main styles of Four Seasons Sun rooms. Straight style sunrooms are like patio room enclosures with a few upgrades. Curved style sunrooms get their names from the wall that curves up to meet the side of the house. Cathedral style sunrooms have vaulted ceilings that provide a light and airy feel. Sunrooms with a glass roof are called Conservatory style sunrooms.

Quality materials are used to insulate each style of sun room. In order to prevent harmful ultra violent rays of the sun entering the room, durable double paned windows filled with Argon gas are used along with a glazing. This helps the owner to enjoy the warmth of the sunlight without being susceptible to the harmful effects of the rays. Another advantage is that it protects the furniture and carpets from discoloring. Once finished the sunroom will look like a natural extension of the home itself. Furnishing of the sunroom can be done according to the purpose of the room and the interests of the owner.
