Artsy, Fashionable And - Handy? The Best Alternative Nail Polish Uses

Women love experimenting with their nails. A lot of them who want to express their personal style or individuality on their bodies usually paint elaborate patterns or use dark or light colors to reflect their moods or beliefs. But when nail polish loses its usefulness with the passing of a mood or a trend, you're usually left with an entire bottle of wasted liquid. It's a reality of fashion but hey, there must be something you can do to stop this waste of a good substance!

Of course there is! Unknown to many, there are actually a lot of practical uses for nail polish. Here are a few that may just save that good old liquid from disposal:

* Adhesive alternative: If you're in the middle of building that model ship or T-Rex skeleton and you've suddenly discovered that you've run out of glue, you don't have to worry! Nail polish can fill in for glue any day. You can also use it to stick things like loose screws. If you just apply a little on the area and wait for it to dry, you can do wonders!

* Gleaming paperweights: Sick of those enormous, dull looking rocks for paperweights? No problem! Just put about half an inch of water in a pie pan and put a drop of clear nail polish on it and allow it to spread on the surface of the water. And by putting that rock and shell in your hand and rolling it all over the surface of the water, and leave it to dry when you have all the polish on your item. When it dries, you'll have an amazing looking paperweight you can use for yourself or as a gift.

* Envelope sealer: If you just hate the idea of licking your envelopes and don't really fancy the thought of asking someone else do it for you, then using the adhesive nature of nail polish can seriously solve your problems. You have a mailable envelope and a clean tongue: the perfect combination!

* Glow in the dark remote control buttons: Do you like watching TV in the middle of the night with the lights off? Perhaps you've experienced the uncomfortable situation of pressing the wrong button because of poor visibility. Now by just coating those buttons with glow-in-the-dark nail polish you'll never mistakenly hit the mute button for the channel scan button ever again!

These are just a few things you can do with your leftover nail polish to make your life a whole lot cooler and more interesting! If you want to discover what other cool things nail polish can be used for just visit: http://lifehackery.com/2008/09/23/home-10/
