Ways to Spruce Up Your Home With a New Floor, Wall Or China Hutch
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jane_Worthington]Jane Worthington

Every once in a while every home needs a new wardrobe. Just like people, who get tired of their clothes, and need a little updating in the wardrobe department, so does the home. Times change, trends evolve and sometimes the unfortunate home gets left behind in a big, old pile of linoleum. If this is leaving you with feelings of panic and shame, don't worry, there are simple remedies for the over-the-hill home.

1. Replace the floors. This is a bold and drastic approach to what needs to be done, but it is a proven method, that can instantly give your home the facelift that it so desperately needs. The floors are like a great pair of shoes. They can make or break your home, just the way a great pair of shoes can make an outfit. It can also work the opposite way, and old worn out floors can make the home look more outdated and neglected than it really is. So, if you have hardwood floors, think about getting them rebuffed, or completely redone. If you have tile, get it retiled, or get new carpet if it's carpeted. It's pretty straight forward.

2. Give your walls some TLC. Walls are one of the things that can become deteriorated without even noticing it. Their colors can fade and become drab, but since you're seeing them everyday, you might not be able to notice at first glance. The solution to this is simple, replace them! Repaint the walls. This is a cheap alternative, and also looks great. If you're feeling creative and risky, do a double color, separated by a molding. Or you can replace the wall paper with a new, fresh design and color. New walls have the ability to completely transform the motif of a home, and can really make a big difference, one that you may not have even thought of!

3. Give your home some flair. Maybe your home doesn't need to be completely overhauled; maybe it just needs some fresh pieces to update the look. Kind of like the importance that a great bag can have on a simple outfit. It transforms the look from "blah" to "wow!" Think about your favorite room, or pieces. Do you have some beautiful dishes in antique styles that would benefit from being displayed in a beautiful China Hutch? Something like that can not only provide you with a great way to show off your dishware or knickknacks, but can be a signature staple in your outfit of furniture.

None of these suggestions require modeling the whole house, but can make such an impact, that people will think you put in a lot more effort than you did. Sometimes it's the little things, like a new piece of furniture, or a fresh paint job that can make all the difference. Don't get discouraged; instead think of smaller ways that can improve the style of your home's wardrobe!
