Some will only specialize in certain aspects of construction such as demolition work, cement and concrete walkways or foundations, or even painting. You need to be aware that the contractor can do the work you specifically need and that he or she has done it before with no problems.
-Use a contractors quote for the work only as a guide. Often time a good contractor will come down on the price a bit if you haggle with them. Paying for custom work is highly subjective so make sure your contractor is aware that you are paying only for the exact type of work you need and nothing less or more.
