Aluminum Pool Fences

Obtaining a pool fence is a necessity for all pools and helps ensure the safety of others while protecting your liability. It's your legal obligation to obtain a pool fence but they also need to follow certain regulations. Check your local building codes to be sure of what those requirements are. You will have to obtain a permit anyway so best to check ahead of time.

About Aluminum

Aluminum is both durable and affordable. There are various options in styles and colors with an aluminum pool fence and it can be quite decorative and elegant to enhance your property.

You do not have to worry about it rusting or rotting as you would with a steel or wood pool fence. Aluminum is popular because its maintenance free and all you need to do when cleaning is hose it down once in awhile. Since aluminum will not need replaced for the reasons mentioned, it will also last you much longer.

A locked gate is something that must be included to allow entrance and to be able to secure it for protection when gone. You can get one that matches the rest of gate and blends in so there is no need for it to be unattractive.

Pool Deck for Privacy

You can build a pool deck whether you have an above or in ground pool. Decks are a wonderful way to add to the décor while providing privacy. Many aluminum decks come prefabricated but that does not mean that you are stuck with ones that look like everyone else's. Special deck paints meant for protecting your aluminum pool deck are available in almost every color but you can also get them pre-painted. If you are going to do it yourself, this is probably the easiest type of deck to assemble since the panels usually come pre-welded.

When choosing the color and style try to keep things uniform so it does improve the landscape and not take away from it. If your house were red for example it would clash horribly with a purple deck.

Wood is still the most popular deck choice because most people prefer the warm traditional way it looks but it is not always practical. Even when you go to the trouble of obtaining a hard wood deck and properly protect it, you run the risk of it rotting so need to replace it again. Once wood becomes wet, it is more vulnerable and can also become infested with termites. When you do seal and stain your wooden pool fence, it if it gets a lot of use you may need to repeat treatments frequently.

Of course you can bypass a deck altogether and go with a simple fence for protection. If you are not concerned about privacy, you may simply want a pool fence up that matches the building code requirements. In this case, you may as well purchase the fencing with your pool. You will get a better deal purchasing them combined and they usually have all the updated safety features included.
