Having the right flooring in a home both adds elegance and functionality. When choosing a flooring material one must determine what elements the flooring will encounter. Tile flooring: Tile flooring comes in an array of different materials and textures. Tile floors typically installed in kitchens and bathrooms because of their water repellant properties. Some of the more common types of tile are ceramic tile, which is a clay-based mixture. Resilient tile is an adhesive backed product typically 12 inches in width. Resilient tile is relatively inexpensive and easier to install. These tiles are low maintenance, as they are stain resistant
