Sauna Kits - What To Know Before You Buy
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Terrence_Banks]Terrence Banks

A home sauna kit includes all the necessary components for you to assemble a sauna.

There are many different configurations on the market to choose from, but...

Before you whip out that credit card, there are some things you should know...

What Kind Of Kit?

This is something you'll want to give a little thought to...

There are modular sauna kits (also known as pre-built saunas) and pre-cut kits.

And what's the difference?

Modular kits are more expensive because most of the assembly is already done. You simply attach the panels together, so set-up doesn't take long at all.

Assembly of a pre-cut kit is not so simple. It will require some handyman skills.

I don't have great carpentry skills, and if you're anything like me you're better off hiring someone to do the job. The good news is that the material has already been cut precisely, so it's a matter of being able to follow the directions to fit everything together properly.

Traditional Sauna or Infrared Sauna?

Before you invest in a home sauna kit, you definitely need to know if you want a traditional sauna or infrared sauna. If you're not sure about the difference, make sure you read up on it.

Indoors or Outdoors?

If you want an indoor sauna, you need to first know that the space you're considering is large enough for the sauna you want.

Do you want an outdoor sauna? You can set up your sauna kit in your front or back yard, patio, or near your pool if you have one. An outdoor sauna is made to endure different weather elements.

Before you even consider outdoor placement, you should check your local building codes first. You may need to obtain a permit before you set up a sauna outdoors.

What Size Do You Need?

There are kits available in almost any size and shape imaginable. You can purchase a kit small enough to hold 1 or 2 people or buy one big enough to hold as many as 10 or more.

The size you need will depend on...

1. available space,

2. the max number of people who will use the sauna simultaneously,

3. your budget (the bigger the kit, the bigger the price)

What Location?

Your sauna kit can be assembled on concrete, tile, linoleum, or any other water resistant surface. If you want your sauna installed in an unusual space, you may need to have your kit custom made. Sauna kits are usually permanent once they're built, so choose your preferred location carefully!

Being able to answer all these questions will make it much easier to decide on that perfect kit for you.
