In our houses 20% of the energy used by bulbs. Usually in homes are using incandescent bulbs. Incandescent bulbs lights when the filament inside that bulb gets heated. This process takes 90% of energy. So anything that helps to reduce the power consumption will also helps to reduce the energy bill. It is easy to save your energy and can reduce your electricity bill with the use of energy saving lamps.
Fluorescent bulbs are more effective than the incandescent bulbs because fluorescent bulbs do not want heat to light the bulb. By using this energy saving lamp you can save the energy up to 66% so you can save your money. The other point is that these lamps last more than the incandescent lamps. The cost for these lamp is more but even though you can save money.
Comparing with the ordinary lamps the fluorescent lamps got 10 times longer life time. But the cost is higher than the ordinary lamps. But if you use the fluorescent lamps you can feel your savings in electricity bill. The other major importance of using these lamps are we can reduce the pollution by electricity generating plants.
Many years ago itself energy saving bulbs is available. But due to the cost and size peoples were not interested in that. But now these lamps are available in all sizes and shapes and rate also reduced and these lamps gives more light than the ordinary lamps. So peoples are now using these lamps and are now aware of the need of energy savings.
