What's the reason that so many homes today suffer from a
lack of closet organizing? There are obviously several reasons for this (lack
of time, laziness, etc) but the main reason is the lack of a system.
Quite simply, closet organizing is one of the most
effective methods you can use to clean your home starting today. Without a well
organized and efficient closet, your home will never reach its' maximum
effectiveness. Here are some tips to help you achieve good closet organizing
skills starting today.
First of all, clear out any items you no longer use. This
is most likely the majority of the clothes and other items that make up the
interior of your closet.
Be honest with yourself in this process; don't simply keep
an item because you may use it down the road. If you aren't using it now,
chances are you will never use it.
Buy organizers to keep your related clothing categories
in. For instance instead of simply hanging all your clothes on hangers and
keeping your shoes on the floor, purchase racks to keep your separate items in.
Utilize the closet floor for maximum effectiveness. Very
simply, many people forget that their closet likely has an ample amount of room
to store items on the floor; if you ignore this valuable space, your closet
organizing will never reach its' full potential.
Don't simply strew your items all over the place, however.
Pile your related items in neat piles and keep them close to the wall for
maximum organizing.
Try to avoid keeping non-clothing related items in your
closet. Often times, belongings that really have no place inside such as
magazines, books, hats, etc., make up the majority of your space and make your
closet organizing very difficult.
Now that you know how to go about your closet organizing,
the most important part is to keep it organized. This process is very simple.
Instead of piling your clothes on the bedroom floor as soon as you are finished
with them, put them back in their appropriate spot immediately.
When you keep up with your closet organizing on a
consistent and daily basis, you never have to deal with the huge messes that
often pile up due to a lack of organization skills. Simply keep repeating this
process, and managing your closet will be no problem at all.

(and thus your home's) overall effectiveness very quickly. Most people lose
