What Accessories Do You Have To Buy For Your Hot Tub To Impress Your Neighbors?

Have you ever considered what it would be like to sit in your hot tub while watching the latest installment of "American Idol" on television? Some people reading that question would be saying "oh yea" to themselves. Others will be thinking "why in the world would you want to destroy the perfect tranquility of a quiet evening in a hot tub for something like that?"
As with most things in life, we all look at experiences differently. If you are one of those who drives a car with every possible trick and convenience installed, you might also be the type of person who really does want to watch TV while soaking in your hot tub. If you've not checked out the latest accessories for spas recently you might be surprised at the variety of electronics that are available now.
Let's start with the lighting. In the older systems you would have to switch the filters to change the color of the light inside the hot tub. Now you can buy LED (light -emitting diode) spa lighting systems that let you personalize the mood in your tub by displaying multiple interior light choices. For a fun experience set it to cycle through all the colors or even put on a light show. But why stop there? Fancy lighting is also available for steps, railing, and the exterior of the hot tub.
Several years ago manufacturers started making surround sound systems available on select models. You can get marine grade CD players in water resistant cases, and enough wattage in the sound system to handle an outdoor rock concert - built in and ready to rock and roll. The speakers will normally pop up for use, and then depress back into the shell so that you don't have to get a special hot tub cover.
OK, now for your TV. Imagine yourself snuggling into the warm water, pressing a button, and watching as a 42" plasma television magically rises into place. Marine grade surround sound speakers with subwoofers compliment your movie theater in a tub. You can pop in your favorite DVD or hook up your cable or satellite feed. If that's not enough to impress the neighbors, it's time to stop trying because as you can imagine accessories like that are very expensive.
If you are in the market for a new tub, don't be in a hurry to make a decision. You can research online to decide what features you are interested in, but visit your local hot tub and spa dealers so you can touch and feel for yourself. The most important thing is to do a "wet test". You might need to make arrangements in advance, but you can take your bathing suit along and check out a few hot tubs to get the right personal fit. The fancy electronics are only one small part of a good hot tub experience and with the money you are getting ready to spend you owe it to yourself to test completely to get a hot tub you will be happy with for years to come.
