How to Use Air Fresheners for Best Results

No one enjoys being in a room with unpleasant odors. For this reason, it is common to find air fresheners in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and other rooms of the home. However, just as it is important to choose the right type of air freshener it is also important to use the product correctly. After all, using too much or too little air freshener may not produce the best results. Therefore, we wanted to provide you with some of our favorite products, as well as tips for using those products in the most effective way.
For starters, unless you are using an organic type of air freshener, you need to remember that these products contain chemicals. Therefore, it is important that when the room is sprayed, no one breathe in while droplets are still falling. Instead, it would be best to spray the room from outside the door, allowing the air freshener to settle before entering the room. Again, you can purchase organic products or even make homemade fresheners, which are not harmful.
The spray type of air freshener tends to be one of the most popular but another option that will actually give you better and longer lasting fragrance is with a time release product. The difference is that instead of permeating the room with spray air freshener, the time release option emits only a small and precise amount of fragrance. The result is enjoying a consistent fragrance. This way, you do not walk into a room smelling an overpowering fragrance, something often experienced with spray fresheners.
Finally, we mentioned making your own air fresheners, which also produce a subtle fragrance that lingers without being overbearing. For instance, you could place scented tea oil in a small container on a bathroom countertop, which actually helps eliminate odors. Just keep in mind that if you go with the standard type of air freshener, choose a product that eliminates odors instead of simply covering them up.
