Instore Today

Founded as a family owned business in Limerick seventeen years ago, Instore today is one of Ireland’s Leading retailers of Furniture, lighting and accessories. Already with four stores in Limerick, Galway, Waterford and Sligo we will be opening our second store in Limerick in the City East Retail Park. We have established a large and loyal customer base throughout many parts of the country and have earned our reputation for providing quality furniture at affordable prices. Rather than standing still, we believe now is the right time to continue expanding the Instore chain.

Instore Ethos

Instore’s success and growth to date is not a matter of chance. In the late eighties and early nineties, when the Instore story began, it was recognized there was a unique opportunity on offer in interiors retailing in Ireland. People in Ireland were discovering a new confidence and, as a result of the Celtic Tiger, were also finding themselves with more disposable income. Homeowners began paying more attention to their homes and started looking for new ways to give a sense of character to their homes. There was a new demand for distinctive furniture and interiors of the highest quality.

Instore has met this demand. We go to extraordinary lengths to source our furniture , all so we can offer customers an unrivalled choice of style. However, we also go beyond the tangible. Instore Provides expert advice to our customers, we provide quality customer support, before and after sales; and last but not least, we provide value for money.

Instore market

In the strictest sense, Instore does not have a target specific target markets. We do not target certain age groups or social classes. On the whole our furniture , lighting and accessories can be classified as upmarket; however because of our commitment to low pricing, we attract all kinds of customers.

The Instore customer is a person who would enjoy walking through the finest furniture store in Dublin or London, but would maybe not find the price tags on show half as pleasant. We attract single men and women, couples, families; we attract people who live in flats, apartments, bungalows, semi detached houses, mansions etc.

People who visit Instore have one thing in common: they want the very best furniture-interiors that will add a touch of class to their homes – but don’t feel they should have to spend a fortune in the process. Instore is a name they can trust and rely on.

Instore Brand

The Instore brand reflects the ethos of the chain. Our advertising is bright, friendly, down to earth, original – quite often with an emphasis on humour. It is aspirational. Ideally we hope customers believe having something from Instore in their homes says something positive about themselves.

The Instore slogan is ‘Love your Home’. The Instore logo is a red heart. These sum up precisely what we are all about. We are a brand that has a strong presence and a reassuring message.

Instore Future

Instore is nothing if not progressive. As one of the country’s premier homeware furniture retailers, we are constantly planning for the future. We have no fear of change if it means improvement. Considering the business we are in, it should come as no surprise we go out of our way to make sure our own premises look the part. In recent years, our Limerick store has relocated to a new state of the art premises on Ellen st. This address has proven to be the perfect environment for the Instore retail experience.

In 2003, Instore relocated in Galway, opening a brand new outlet on Merchant’s Road. As a listed building (originally the old Mc Donagh Hardware Store), we have been careful to retain the history and character of the premises while also enhancing its art deco style. The new Sligo store has a carefully designed interior that reflects Instore’s commitment to good taste.

The new Dublin and Cork Store will be the latest stage in Instore’s national expansion.
