Ground Works

Clear the site using an excavation contractor. Get a site clearance contractor on site to get a quote before agreeing anything. Get an estimate of the time it will take, and make sure they are using the right equipment for the job.

See if there are any excavators already working in the area that can do your site. If you can hire someone that is already working close by it may reduce the costs of moving the equipment. They may be able to fit you in between other jobs they are working on.

Also, to save money later you should have the excavator pile top soil from the building excavation to the side. You can spread it out use it as top soil for landscaping at a later stage.
