I have a whirlpool washing machine which gave a fair good service, however I will not be buying another whirlpool product due to the very poor repair service offered. My machine broke down so in trying to contact whirlpool to arrange for an engineer to call, it took 4 phone calls and 45 minutes of my time! Having eventually got talking to somebody it was goin to be 10 days before an engineer could call. That was bad enough but I coped! Day came and I missed the engineers call by minutes due to poor coverage on that day. However I could not call the engineer back( number not contactable!) I then had to ring whirlpool twice before I could get someone to try to contact this mobile engineer.of course they couldn't reach him ! However engineer arrived and tells me he has to order a part( this was to take another week?). Day or two later whirlpool called to inform me it would be over two more weeks before repair could be done. So in total I will be three and half weeks without the use of my washing machine( that's assuming no other problem arises ) now this is days before Christmas ! I can't believe whirlpool can run such a poor service but certainly I am one customer they won't have to worry about in the future. Product/Service Range 3

I bought a 6th 8 kg washer in 2004 and also bought the 8 year parts warranty. Considering the use it gets(I have 5 kids) I m happy enough with it but the customer service is appalling. I would never go with them again as I have spent weeks at least three times in that time without a washer due to waiting for engineers to call and then another week for an appointment and then another 1/2/3 weeks for them to get the part and fit it. an absolute disgrace and no way to run a service!!! American Style Fridge Freezer Bought in Currys Newry
Long story, having had whirlpool products in my kitchen for the last 18 odd years with no reason to complain, we decided to replace our fridge freezer with a new american stlye( u know the one, ice maker, chilled water etc).We went north to buy said applience in January 09 and took out an extended warraty. The ice maker stopped working in june 09 and a call was logged to the customer support who in turn arranged for an engineer to visit. The engineer said he needed a new part and would order one.
Several failed appointments and no call from customer service later we, now exactly 15 MONTHS, yes 15 MONTHS and numerous fone calls(at least 15) to, what must be the worst customer service line i have ever had the misfortune of calling, we still haave the problem, along with a few more problems with the appliance.
Its not that I was a new Whirlpool customer or anything like that, I recomeneded Whirlpool to any of my customers(electrician by trade)but 15 Months!!!! Come on Whirlpool.
I am now taking this matter down the legal route and will keep you posted.

I had a whirlpool washing machine that stayed in the boil sequence and filled my house with black steam to which i thought the house was on fire, I then replaced it later with another whirlpool in April 2009 from TOSS BRYAN in Fermoy, and in sep 2010 the bearings were gone and it was so bad the repair man i called said it wasn\'t worth fixing whirlpool refused to cover and would send out technician at full cost, so I bought a ZANUSSI (problem solved and cheaper in the long run) Product/Service Range 1

Have a Whirlpool washing machine and it has been constantly getting blocked in the drain hose (nearly every load) despite us using a net for smaller fabrics i.e. babies bibs and socks etc. We have a Hotpoint at home and never had a days trouble in this regard so as far as I\'m concerned it is a fault with Whirlpool machines. I have tried to call their \"helpline\" consecutively four times this morning (between office hours) and the phone is answered and then hangs up straight away hence costing me money for the call yet I get to speak to nobody. Absolute joke they are as far as I\'m concerned and once we send this to the dump it will be the last Whirlpool product that will cross our door or any of my families doors!!! That\'s a promise. I Bought an AKM 393 Gas Hob from DWYERS ELECTRICAL in Cork. After Install one of the Burners was not burning properly. Called Whirlpool - sent engineer who adjusted flame size and said all was OK. Centre burner was still burning with a yellow flame but whirlpool told me to F.O. because they had already sent an engineer and everything was now O.K. I stopped using that Burner. Last week a Spark Plug stopped working. I called a local Gas engineer (Not whirlpool) who came and inspected the unit. He said the burner was faulty from manufacture as one of the feed pipes onder the casing was overtightened and cross treaded causing a gas leak inside the hob. This could only be done in the factory at manufacture as it was a selaed unit.
So Whirlpool sold me a damaged and dangerous appliance. I will not be buying appliances from whirlpool again.

Whirlpool diswasher... Warrenty means nothing to whirlpool. Offered 20% discount off the price of a new machine when they failed to fix it but no refund of 109 euro service charge.. are they serious there prices to begin with are inflated so 20% is less than what they chaged for an unsuccessful call out Product/Service Range 2

very disapointed with whirl pool call centre and repair man service. asked to get paddles in washing machine replaced , they tryed to charged for call out , but machine was under warranty, two weeks later paddles broke again ,they came out to replace, when service man was at our house he decide to change termasat and rubber around door , which first of all he did not have our permission to do so. and the rubber which was on the door was perfect, and the one he replaced it with was all brown stained, and now breaking up. rang whirlpool service cork and dublin and got no answers to why they did this with out my permission, i will be taking this matter to the small claims court, as they can not treat us like this Product/Service Range 2

I agree with and understand the problems the other people have had with whirlpool customer service. My tumble dryer developed a fault during the 1 year warranty, a service person called and took the back panel off and after 10 minutes put it back on blaming a piece of tissue(which we were\'nt shown).
The same problem came back next time we used it, service person came back but forgot to bring a trolley to move dryer he said he\'d be back tomorrow.Fair enough you\'d think. That was 3 weeks ago, the people in customer service tell me they will try to contact him, and that i\'m waiting on a part.I\'m not waiting on a part just a service engineer! The supervisor and manager are always on a break, out sick or on a call. No one will call me back after promising to.I\'ve wasted my time calling at least 10 times. On the whirlpool site it says\"Whirlpool\'s values in servicing the customer\" One of them is\"Integrity,There\'s no right way to do the wrong thing\"This actually made me laugh,they\'re so full of ****.Whirlpool dont care about the customer, a warranty means nothing.I\'ve been treated disgracefully by them and I\'m now looking into what type of legal action I can take.DON\'T BUY WHIRLPOOL!
