If you're renovating or building a house, I would recommend DMDS very highly. We're renovating our stone cottage in Sligo and wanted to get architects in to put turn our ideas into something coherent and workable and to oversee the building work. With DMDS we've ended up with far more than we could have hoped for. They've created a design that really works for us and does all the things we wanted (more light, more coherence, more connection with the outside) in a way that we couldn't have thought up ourselves. Deirdre and Dougal (DMDS) been great to work with. We were worried that were a bit young and 'designy' at first because we didn't want the house to look like a piece of architecture. But they've managed to take in all our needs and preferences and come up with a design and materials that really works for us. It's ambitious in that there's a new mainly glass bit being added to a traditional looking building, but we think the design manages to subtlely enhance it rather than sticking out laike a sore thumb or trying to recreate some twee 'super stone cottage' look. They've got just the right balance of vision, cutomer focus, experience and flexibility. We're amazed at the attention we've received, compared with other friends' experiences with architects. This review may sound a bit gushy, but we really couldn't recommend them highly enough. And I'm known to be a tad over critical at times. Product/Service Range 5
