Description:
GTS was formed in 2004 as a specialist provider of Site Suitability Assessment services including Surveys & Percolation Tests. The GTS Site Suitability Assessment process which received The Best Innovation Award at Plan Expo 2004 (sponsored by R.I.A.I./C.I.F.) combines effective use of skilled people and technology.
GTS' new process uses modern technology and instrumentation to determine the most appropriate on-site location for the percolation tests and to gather the results. These results are then analysed by skilled personnel (all our testers have technical qualifications and are FAS certified). Our staff produce a comprehensive and detailed colour report incorporating the test results, conclusions and recommendations.
The Site Suitability Assessment process generally requires us to:
-Carry out a survey (if not completed already)
-Determine the exact test area
-Carry out a visual inspection
-Determine the soil features through the trial hole
-Set up the test
-Examine any other relevant features for inclusion in the EPA Site
Characterisation Report.
Once all of the above have been done, the test proceeds automatically, and the results are communicated electronically to Head Office where the test results and other information collected by the company’s qualified technicians and surveyors are collated to generate the necessary reports and for detailed recommendations to be made on treatment options, etc.
