Durabella Ireland is marketing a new version of an acoustic flooring system that has been developed in Britain.

The Durabella system is available in eight configurations:

[1] Acoustic Batten System Suitable for situations where the substrate is level.

[2] Acoustic Cradle System Utilises height adjustable cradles that allow the acoustic flooring to be installed in uneven substrate. This system has been designed as a partial access system in case there is a requirement to access the void. It is also considerably cheaper than raised access flooring while still providing a similar point and UDL loading under certain conditions.

[3] Durabella Hardwood Sports Floors
(a) Comprising of a straight lay Batten System understructure for use in sub floors are leveled to 5mm tolerance. Unfortunately due to the constraints of the system it will follow the existing subfloor.

(b) Durabella sports floor laid with a cradle and batten understructure system that is ideal for uneven substrate (existing site conditions) This system is laid to a 3mm tolerance as it is laid with a laser and does not follow the existing substrate. This system is priced very competitively in the Irish marketplace and has been tested to the DIM SPECIFICATION PART TWO 18032 (German specification for all sports floors)

[4] PC18 Access Flooring

[5] PC22 Access Flooring

[6] Durabella Elevated Cradle System Can be used up to 500mm in height


The use of acoustic flooring in Ireland is not as prevalent as in other European countries, however we believe the inherent benefits of the system allied with more stringent building controls will lead to a significant uptake of the system in the coming years.
