Description:
Chetham Timber is a highly respected family owned company. First established by Norman Dickinson Chetham in 1929. The company was purchased in 1937 by Tom Dominick McGrath and has been owned and run by the McGrath family ever since. Michael McGrath was managing director from 1950 to 1992. Brian McGrath became Managing Director in 1992.


Chetham Timber retains its original business as a high quality hardwood lumber importer and in addition has over the past 30 years expanded the business to include wood flooring and timber decking.


Chetham Timber is a founder member of the Irish Timber Trades Association and Euparal (The European Parquet Alliance.) Chetham Timber is a registered member of The Timber Trades Federation and the National Wood Flooring Association.
