anyone ever heard of Sjodalshus?? they are Swedish company based in Cork. supposed to be very good in terms of heating houses and retaining heat in the house when under floor heating and geothermal pumps are installed. the website is http://www.sjodalshus.se/ie/

I've dealt with them in the past and love their designs! You can arrange to see their representative's house in Glenmire which is gorgeous.

In the end, we didn't go with them because they still require you to sort out services such as electricians, plumbers etc as well as the planning process which we couldn't do for various reasons.

We went with a full service company www.euro-house.ie which does work out about 1/3 more expensive, but I'd still totally recommend Sjodalshus. It's the ideal self-builder's solution - they will amend the plans as often as the planners require which can save an awful lot of money and their designs are so beautiful! If you've ever seen a Swedish house, you'll appreciate the warmth, the practicality and the thought that has gone into the planning!
