Replace "lintel" on fire place with a higher posit

I'm interested in purchasing a new gas fire to replace my old coal fire however as the house was built in the 60's I need to raise the "lintel" that supports the chimney.

Does anybody know anyone who can do this, and what cost it would be?

I need to get it done quite quickly so all your responses will be greatfully accepted.
