Hi, Can anyone out there tell me, is it ok to do a DIY house rewire?
I am soon to be moving to Mayo, and am going to be renovating a house.
I would like to do as much as possible myself for obvious reasons, money.
I used to work with an electrician, first and second fixing, so am competent. I do not want to fall foul of any rules and regs once I start.
Cheers. |

tried similar thing. was straightforward enough until i got to the mcb board. figured most of it out, but could not sort mcb for shower. embarassingly, will have to call in pro to complete job, not a nice ask. wont try it again. better to stick to that i know, especially where electricity is concerned. Not much, if any, by doing wiring yourself. maybe a deal can be struck with a sparky where you help--chasing, wirepulling etc, for discount on bill. |
