Hey there, I'm stripping a room at the minute, its normal wall paper with 2 layers of paint (nightmare!) i have been literally chipping away at it! is there any quicker way that anyone knows of?

Hi there,
are you using a steam wallpaper stripper? This stuff cuts through anything, even dry emulsion paint. You can hire one for about €20 per day (probably cheaper for a weekend). That machine really speeds up stripping and makes a HUGE difference in speed.
Alternatively, you can score the wall with a knife down to the plaster, and use a sponge to apply water to the wall. The cuts allow water to seep through (takes a while) and dissolves the glue. This should make stripping easier.
